A Gift Guide For Those Who Love Wooden Toys

*Contains PR Samples. All opinions are my own.

I fully admit to being a huge fan of wooden toys, I love their durability, their longevity, their playability…. and yes I admit it, if I’m going to have a lounge that is taken over by toys I also love how they look.

Here is a guide to some of our favourites:

Grimm’s Rainbow (6 Pieces): £23.95

The ideal choice for when you can’t decide whether to buy something the child will love or something the adults will love. Grimm’s Rainbow is a toy that will inspire imagination. A toy perfect for those who love creating unusual structures and those who get easily bored. It’s uses are limitless, from beds for dolls, slides for bears or hills for cars – you name it you can do it… oh yes and for parents who love photography, it also makes an incredible photo prop.

Le Toy Van Holiday Camper Van: £28.99

If you haven’t got room for a doll’s house but your little one enjoys small world play, the Le Toy Van Camper Van is a great option. What’s more, it makes a beautiful addition to any room. Stylish yet practical, this small but well formed toy packs a considerable punch. With a detachable surfboard, bed with its very own mattress and a little kitchenette it’s the perfect space to begin an adventure. As you would expect from ale Toy Van, the quality is unquestionable.

Hape’s Master Workbench: £59.99

Perfect for youngsters who love to ‘fix’ things, Hape’s Master Workbench improves dexterity through play. As a teacher who has seen many youngsters struggle with the fine motor control needed for pencil work, this is a gift that I truly love. It teaches children both dexterity and oerservence; even better they are so busy playing that they have no idea that they are learning. With 32 pieces including of course the all important hammer wrench and saw, and not to forget a multitude of working nuts and bolts, this is a toy which is guaranteed to provide hours of play.

Personalised Wooden Doctor’s Set Toy: £38.00

There is nothing quite like being able to give someone a personalised gift, a heirloom that will always have special significance, and this beautiful doctor’s set definitely falls into that category. From its lightweight cotton bag, classically printed with the name of your choice to each individual instrument, perfect for inspiring children to engage in role play. With three seperate pockets inside the bag it’s the perfect gift for children who love to organise, and a great way to teach them about caring for and looking after others. This is a  set guaranteed to give hours worth of play and it one bound to make any preschooler happy this Christmas.

Lanka Kade Fair Trade Wooden Red London Bus Toy With Figures: £59.99

Lanka Kade is one of those brands that photographs just do not do justice to. Their products are truly gorgeous and the craftmanship has to be seen to be believed. This stunning London bus stocked by Born Gifted is no exception. Everything from the paintwork and illustrations to the individually crafted people scream quality. But Lanka Kade is about far more than that. Each piece is made from sustainable rubber wood by workers in Fair Trade factories in Sri Lanka. It’s a heirloom gift, with a heart and one I will be giving with pride this Christmas.
