Have you ever heard the old adage, if we keep doing the same things we’ll get the same results?
The truth is that it can be a hard one. After all when things are going wrong, we are tired, we are exhausted and the last thing we feel like doing are making changes that will make our life even harder.
Because the reality is that change is hard.
Really hard. Not just for our children but for us as adults as well. It’s human nature not to challenge the status quo, especially when we are already doing as much as we feel we can.
But the truth is, if there are things that aren’t working, if behaviours are escalating, if anxiety is rising, if there are challenges with school staff, or the LEA are ignoring your pleas for help nothing will change unless you take action. I would love to tell you that there is another way. I would love to tell you that the world will change and become an easier place for our children to thrive – and I hope very much that one day it will. But right now, the only thing we have control of is ourselves and our own actions.
So today I want you to use this opportunity to enact change. Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And the truth is you will feel better just for taking action. For starting to make change.
So how can you do it?
Today I want you to choose one of these areas and take one step, one action.
