*This post contains PR samples.

With the Beast From The East still swirling round us and no signs of it letting up, we thought we’d share with you a few of our favourite blankets for snuggling under on the sofa.

After all, if we’re gong to be spending lots of time indoors we may as well make the most of it.

For those that need a blanket that can be easily washed:

At just the perfect weight for any time of year the Grey Swell Brushed Cotton Blanket from Atlantic Blankets reminds me of being by the sea. It’s perfect for those wanting all the luxury of a natural blanket, but not wanting to sacrifice on feel. Super soft and easily machine washable this is the perfect blankets for families. With all of the style and none of the worry, we really can’t recommend it highly enough.

For those that love bold design and bright colours:

If you’re looking to make a statement your guests won’t forget or need a splash of colour Invincible, a fleece blanket by Sarah Taylor Art is the perfect choice. In the words of both the Bear and the Lion, this blanket is ‘Wow’. Perfect for even the coldest of days this snuggly soft piece of art is a great choice for a blanket that children will actively seek out. Who knows, it may even inspire them to create their very own piece of art.

For those looking for flexibility in their homes:

For those who like to change their colour schemes regularly, you won’t go far wrong with this beautiful Multi Spot Blanket, by Bronte by Moon. I love not only how it’s the perfect blanket to match every single room in my house. But even more than that I love how it’s contrasting sides make me feel like I have two completely different blankets, allowing me to switch between then whenever I choose. Made from pure merino wool, this is a blanket with a definite grown up feel, perfect for adding a touch of adult luxury to any room. In our house this is very definitely my blanket, and it’s one I’m not about to share in a hurry.

For those looking to add maximum warmth:

It’s rare that the Bear is decisive, her anxiety often gets in the way. But this gorgeous purple throw from Tweedmill grabbed her attention as soon as she saw it. Made from Pure New Wool, it’s equally suited to snuggling under on the sofa and using as extra warmth on the end of the bed. The thickest of the blankets we tested, this one is luxurious enough to make a tween or teen feel grown up, yet hardy enough to use to make pillow forts. It is a blanket that is a sure fire winner in any house.

For those that want a blanket large enough for he whole family.

At 170cm by 13cm dekoria’s Nordic Trees Blanket is the largest in our selection. Made of high quality fleece, this blanket is unbelievably soft both on the outside and on the inside. It’s Nordic inspired pattern adds a touch of Scandinavian style to any room, whilst the fact that it is machine washable means that it is the perfect blanket for wrapping round poorly children. It truly shows that style does not have to forsake practicality and has rapidly become a firm favourite in our house with the Lion.

Which would you choose to treat yourself to?
