With our trip to Scotland fast approaching, I thought I’d take some extra special Scottish themed stocking fillers this year for the whole family to enjoy.
I’ve collected a few small gifts, each with a Scottish theme, so we can enjoy a little bit of Scotland and return with gifts to ensure we remember our memories long after we are home.
Pickering’s Gin Christmas Baubles
These Gin baubles by Pickering’s have to be hands down one of my favourite products this Christmas. Despite the fact that I don’t drink alcohol myself! They are just so unbelievably pretty, so much so that the picture really doesn’t do them justice. With each pack containing six different coloured baubles they are perfect either for giving as one larger gift or for splitting between several family members as smaller stocking fillers. Crafted at Summerhall distillery in Edinburgh, experts at making Gin for over 150 years they are sure to please even the most discerning taster.
A Range Of Edible Delights By Tunnock’s
Chocolate is sure to win my heart every time. And what better chocolate to represent Scotland than Tunnock’s. From snowballs and tea cakes to chocolate wafers, these are treats that I know the whole family will wholeheartedly enjoy. In fact I can’t wait to see their faces when they open up their stockings to see the selection that awaits.
Abyssinian Oil Daily Skincare Heroes
These gorgeous bags filled with beauty products from the Beauty Kitchen are made from off-cuts of kilt fabric that would otherwise have gone to waste. I love the authenticity of them as well as the fact that you don’t know which tartan you’ll receive until your bag arrives. The site’s tartan checker then allows you to identify your clan. And of course that’s without mentioning it’s fabulous contents, perfect for looking after skin over the cold winter months.
The Colouring Book Of Scotland
There is something strangely therapeutic about sitting inside on a cold winter’s evening with a colouring book. Each year at Christmas for the past several years I’ve bought one for the Bear, and this year this one seems like the perfect choice. The perfect memory of her first trip to Scotland, I know she is going to enjoy colouring the beautiful pictures within for many months to come.
The Eteaket Coveted Collection
This very special treasure chest of tea contains some fabulous and unique teas. Edinburgh based Eteaket make possibly some of the most unusual and distinctive teas I’ve ever tasted. I’m excited to see the Other Half’s face when he sees Tomatin Whisky flavoured tea in his stocking and I think my lovely sister in law will be equally impressed with her Isle of Harris Gin Tea. If you aren’t partial to a tipple, worry not as their collection truly does have something for everyone, including tea with chocolate in it. Now that one really really does have my name on it.
Harris Tweed Wallet
A wallet is something you carry with you each and every day. And this gorgeous Harris Tweed example is one that any man would be proud to carry. With its well thought out internal pockets and robust outer, it’s a wallet that not only looks great but that is practical too. I love that it will stand the test of time and remind my Father-in-Law of our Scottish Christmas for many years to come.
Limited Edition Edinburgh Castle Bears
If you’re looking for a truly heirloom quality gift, for the young or young at heart Bonnie and Cobbles, Edinburgh Castle’s limited edition bears truly are the perfect choice. Beautifully made and equally suited to play and ornamental use the receiver is sure to fall in love the moment they set eyes on them. From their super soft fur to their impeccable outfits, their quality belies their modest price tag. I know that these will delight my children… that is of course if Grandma doesn’t decide to sneak them home with her in her suitcase.
I still have a few gifts to find, so watch this space for further Scottish themed stocking fillers. I’d love your suggestions of other gifts for the whole family.
